Although Welsh by birth, Germany has been my home since 1973. For 13 years I was a molecular palaeontologist, hunting for biomolecules in extinct creatures across the world, before my career brought me to Leipzig in 2004. In 2007, I left research to focus on my new career in art and since then have exhibited my work in the UK, Sweden and Germany, including Leipzig’s famous Spinnerei. With a such a multi-faceted background, The English Room is a perfect fit for my various skills. Alongside my day-to-day responsibilities in the office, I use the creative side of my brain to keep our social media sites entertaining and informative, and the logical side of my brain for planning courses and teaching our research-based clients.
